I got this idea from this meme. A modern twist on hangman! Well, the man still gets hanged if they don't suceed. But, it isn't just any old annonymous guy, it's Psy.. Oppan Hangman Style!
If the children win, they get the priviliegde of a whole 20 seconds worth of celebrating with THAT dance. On the other hand, if they lose, then I get the satisfaction of watching him get hanged and not having to listen to his awful (but catchy) song, yet again.
I setup the word length in the textbox of the PPT before projecting onto a whiteboard. Then it's a combination of whiteboard marking and mouse clicking to run through the game. If there is a letter in there, I'll write it on and if there isn't a letter I'll cross it off with the marker and hit the X with the mouse. Each time the X is hit, a piece of the gallows is put in place, with a rope put in place just proceeding the final hanging. If they manage to get all the letters or guess the word, then a click on the tick will lead to an animated GIF with sound of the one and only.
